Now,I know some of you might be wondering why this review? why so late?.Even though in New York Gel Manicures has  been around for a couple years,I am from the Caribbean where it isn’t so popular but is now starting to be the new fab thing to do.Let me start off by saying,If its one thing that’s too good to be true Its this! Gel Manicures are said to give you long lasting acrylic nails without any nail damage,I am sorry does this even seem logical to you? They do chip and they do damage your nails and can cause some serious infections and nerve damage.In the process of doing my first Gel Manicure I thought wow I wouldn’t trust just anyone can do this,the overuse of nail files to prepare for the layers of gel and the mixing of acrylic products nail techs might use for affordability can really affect your eyes and skin.

Moving away from the facts and my personal opinions.I am not a fan of these manicures.I hate the two hour process and I would really prefer to buy a pack of glue on nails and call it a day or even do a fast acrylic,you can do a fast acrylic but there is no such thing as a speedy Nail Gel process.Apart from the fact that they take long,when they chip they look horrible and it really puts immense amount of pressure on my poor little nail more than regular acrylic would.This spring  a company called CND introduced the first hybrid Gel Manicure called Shellac,they say its more nail friendly so you can give that a try as well,just be very careful and tell me about it!
